ARTIST STATEMENT

As a mixed media artist, Miggs’ work focuses on a captivating exploration of rabbits and the power of repetition through commercially found images.
Through the medium of collage, he intertwines various elements to create a visually arresting compositions that provoke thought and engage the viewer's imagination.
Rabbits, with their inherent symbolism of vulnerability, and agility, serve as a recurring motif in the art.
They embody the delicate balance between fragility and strength, while also representing the enduring connection between humans and nature. By incorporating rabbits into collages, he aims to evoke a sense of whimsy, mystery, and the potential for transformation.
Repetition plays a vital role in the creative process, echoing the patterns and rhythms found in the commercial world around us. Invoking the aged and dilapidated look and feel of aged and forgotten urban billboards.
Through the strategic arrangement and layering of images, textures, and colors, Miggs’ created a visual language that transcends traditional boundaries.
